The So Good Story
It started around 2003—fresh out of high school, standing in the aisle of a grocery store, squinting at an ingredient label and wondering why something as simple as food needed a paragraph of chemicals to explain it. That small moment sparked a lifelong curiosity, and eventually, a calling.
I began by cutting soda and processed foods, choosing whole, nourishing ingredients instead. But it didn’t take long to realize the problem wasn’t just in what we were consuming—it was also in what we were applying to our skin, our body’s largest organ. Sunscreens, lotions, face washes—most were filled with synthetics I couldn’t pronounce, let alone trust. There had to be a better way.
That’s when I started making my own. Back then it was just for me—simple blends of almond oil, coconut oil, and essential oils I’d source from the health store. It was more like cooking than chemistry, more soul than science. Over the years, I fine-tuned these “recipes” with care, and without trying, I found people noticing: the glow, the health, the simplicity of it all. By 2015, I was making small batches for friends and family, often giving them away as gifts.
Then came 2023. The film industry strikes brought everything to a halt. But for me, they also brought something unexpected: time. Time to reflect. Time to build. Time to pour into the passion I had quietly nurtured for nearly two decades. And from that sacred pause, So Good Co was born, and with it came sacred skincare.
Rooted in almost 20 years of personal practice, So Good Co exists at the crossroads of faith and culture—where timeless truth meets modern living. Every product is intentionally crafted with non-toxic ingredients that nourish the body, uplift the soul, and honor the sacred in everyday life. This isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about staying grounded. Because when you stand for something eternal, you're never out of style.
It wasn’t long before we began expanding into other areas of life—cutting out synthetic fibers and toxic dyes from our clothing and choosing instead to embrace natural materials like organic cotton, linen, and wool. 573 was born out of that shift: apparel and essentials designed for everyday use and offbeat expression. And in keeping with our core principle from 1 Corinthians 10:31—"Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God"—WTW (Wear The Word) came to life as a wearable witness, a quiet reminder of grace stitched into your day-to-day.
